Pure Hands delivers life-saving food assistance to families facing acute hunger across Yemen.
Across Yemen, families face an unimaginable choice: which child eats today?
Currently, 49% of the Yemeni population—approximately 17 million people—are food insecure, with 5 million expected to experience emergency levels of food insecurity. The conflict has worsened Yemen’s fragile economy, which contracted by 54%, pushing the prices of food, fuel, and other basic goods out of reach for much of the population.
Food insecurity and malnutrition remain pervasive, with particularly severe impacts for the most vulnerable groups, including women and girls, internally displaced persons, and marginalized communities.
An estimated 3.5 million children under five and pregnant and breastfeeding women face acute malnutrition.
